Burying a chest right outside the lighthouse, how original. Not a great haul, but it'll sell for some coin.

Sitting around drinking the day away is all good and well for those who have made their way in the world, but a man who has lost his entire fortune in the past week is not so lucky. So I took a little stroll outside of Hunding today to see what I could scrounge up. I figured, a small island whose main port is ruled by an egomaniac brute, there had to be a few people that could use a gold-craving hand. Sure enough, just a short while on the road to Saintsport I ran into a crippled band of individuals that also have been having some troubles with our beloved Sea Drakes.

The man, Trelan, said that last night an angry mob of the pirates simply ran over their camp and kidnapped two of their companions. He said that they've always been difficult to deal with, but he'd never seen them act so brazenly before (I wonder what could have caused that?). Anyway, after what I've seen of the Sea Drakes fighting abilities I wasn't too concerned, so I told him I'd take care of it. And naturally, just few hours and a handful of arrows later I was escorting a beautiful Dunmer and a wiley Khajiit back to their friends.

Trelan said he was grateful, but his pay spoke otherwise. Maybe this treasure map I found on one of the Sea Drakes will lead me to something a bit more worth my time.

It's amazing in here! That treasure Jeezy found transported us to another world! It's all so different, yet oddly familiar. There are bright streaks flying down along a purple sky and mysterious voices that speak from nowhere. There's water near where we landed, I'm eager to see what fish live around here...

Lerisa and I met with Captain Kaleen today. She says we'll be holding off on the job until things cool down a bit over at the palace. Apparently some hotshot felt the need to relieve Bhosek of his favorite gemstone earlier this week, and now he's tripled his stationed guards all around the city. So it's just been me and Razzaq swapping stories for the past few hours. This bottle of elven floppy I grabbed from Helane's cabin isn't so bad, and I don't think she'll mind us enjoying it.

I found Sergeant Firion of the Little Alkosh fending off some local Alits among the wreckage this morning. It's good to see someone else survived the storm, although she barely handled those overgrown lizards so I'm not sure how much help she'll be. I'm about to go back into the wreckage, hopefully more of her team is out there.

A whole day of searching, and the treasure was right near town, just a few miles from where we began! I told Jeezy we should've turned at the (put landmark here) instead of the (put landmark here) but he doesn't listen. He was right about the (put landmark here) though, I would never have noticed that from the map.

Jeezy's about finished digging up the chest now, it looks pretty big! I wonder what booty we'll find? Gold? Gems? Scrolls of Flight?

Razam-Dar has handed this one an empty book in which to write as an attempt to help with the recuperation. Despite what he says, it must be difficult for a Khajiit such as he to see one fall from the empty sky during a terrible hurricane and not receive a proper story accompanying it. He believes that this one suffers from amnesia, perhaps it was a hit on the head from the fall. Alas, if only it were as simple as all that.  A removal of these memories would truly be a blessing from the Great Cat himself.

The storm came out of nowhere and ripped our fleet apart. Decades of craftsmanship lost in mere hours... such a travesty. Much of the crew is dead, and there is no sign of Cirion. Liette's body was laying next to me, picked apart by Mudcrabs.

The rescue went off without a hitch. Lerisa can be mighty nasty when she's in the mood, that poison she fed Helane could eat through even Mekag's stomach. I wasn't about to give her the antidote though, not after what she did to my ship. This plan of Kaleen's better be damn worth it, the price has already been high enough.

I came back to the Blade early this morning, early enough for the Captain and the crew to still be deep in their cups at The Fish Stink. Just to make sure I was safe, I peeked in Jemalsorr's cabin, and I'm glad I did because there was a shady looking skulker poking about in the Captain's trunk. That reminds me, I need to ask him how he got past that lock...

Lieutenant Asterio's shiplog, 26th of Last Seed, 3rd year of Her Majesty, Ayrenn.

Tuinden's Glory and the Golden Fleet are two weeks out of Haven, and we are set to arrive in Mistral's port at 2200 hours. Admiral Cirion has instructed me to accompany him into his meeting with the city's leader, Harrani. This will be a key opportunity to solidify my position on this ship, and perhaps later as the future head of this squadron.  Although this is a mission of diplomacy, we are prepared to handle resistance, should it arise from the feline rabble that calls this island home.

We made it to Davon's Watch a few hours ago. Big Brother and the rest look like they had the cargo covered, so I figured I'd get out of their way and see what's biting. I bet there are some odd fish out here, what with that lava mountain running off back there. Maybe they'll already be cooked when I catch them.

Bloody Sea Drakes! I told Lerisa we were coming in too close, but she never listens. Now most the crew is captured, Deregor's probably dead, and Telonil ran off like a little coward, the bastard. Ah well, maybe the pirates will give him a chase long enough for me to finish this little rescue.

I guess it's time to get started, it looks like Lerisa has already vanished off somewhere. Probably gone to have a little chat with that Helane.

Jollo 001

9th of Midyear, 2E 582

Julianos, Zenithar, Mara.... It's been a month since they took us captive. These...these, worms! With their filthy dungeons and their horrid food. Poor Jollo sits here in the darkness, day after day wallowing in nothing but rats and grime. My Fair J'Pummra tried to escape several times, but has earned nothing for his all his efforts, bless him. Alas, could this be the end for us, dear friend? More and more prisoners are disappearing every day, and I fear that our own hour will be upon us soon. One more night into the darkness, may we be judged fairly.

A feast followed by a bath of gold, we hit the big one today! Raanhard had the right idea following that fat merchant and his lazy cat companion into this valley. Sure, we couldn't have known that they were walking into an ambush, but we were due for a bit of luck after that mess in Sentinel. It was odd though that those bandits didn’t loot the carts after they attacked, just took their captives and ran. Raanhard says slavers, but they looked more like they were part of some cult to me. Doesn’t really matter anymore, their oversight just made us the two wealthiest men in Hammerfell. Now to see just how much we're sitting on.

Morwha’s ingrown toenail! It’s amazing how much gold that pompous oaf actually carried on him! There must be enough here for me to buy my own Ruby Throne! On top of that, there are these other sacks that are just full of gems, rubies, diamonds, sapphires, even ole Ronny struggled getting them all off the cart. And I did find my Ma’s dagger that Jollo filched from me stuck in a pot of stew. Disgusting man and a damn cheat, he deserves every bit of whatever those maniacs have planned for him.

Ah good, looks like Ronny found some more bottles for us to partake in as the sun goes down. I thought we cleaned everything out already, but maybe he found some more of the Breton’s wines, or the Khajiit’s secret stash. I hope it’s something hard, that apple stuff we just had makes me burp. Ha! he found one of the cat’s bows too, looks like a nice one. Can’t imagine someone of his size using a weapon like that, but he sure seems to be enjoying himself. Ah the selfish meathead! He’s drinking it all!
