The information I've gathered has led me here, to the border kingdom of Rihad. Traveling south across the Alik'r brought back memories of when my parents brought me to the Cyrodill as a child. The desert stays resolute despite the changes around it. I must as well.

Ria appeared in my sleep again last night. She said I need to find eight pieces of a staff so that I can bring the Emperor back to Tamriel. She knows the first piece is in Fang Lair, but neither I nor she knows where that is. It's been a while since I've been in Hammerfell, perhaps someone here can point me in the right direction.

Tharn is a fool to think a few rats and goblins could stop me. I easily found the shift gate Ria made for me and am now in the town of Lainlyn all the way in Hammerfell. I never could get used to magical travel, but at least I shouldn't turn too many heads, assuming no one saw me appear from thin air like that...
